The Alpha Flight RoS jacket offers warmth and light protection in mild conditions, along with a close, aerodynamic fit and plenty of breathability.
If you want to race in the cold or ride in comfort in the cool conditions, it's for you.
Designed for unbeatable performance at a temperature range of 6-16°c, this jacket shares the double-layer construction of the alpha ros 2, for precise regulation of temperature and ventilation when you're working hard, but uses different materials.
In this case, the inner layer is Polartec® Alpha, which is able to cope with extreme changes in temperature and acts to wick sweat fast and efficiently, so you'll stay comfortable without becoming chilled, whatever the day holds. It's also very low bulk.
The outer layer, meanwhile, is constructed from two different nano flex fabrics. The chest, shoulders, sleeves and upper back are made from nano flex light, which partially blocks the wind but lets some in, to help avoid sweat buildup.
The back, meanwhile, is constructed from nano flex extra dry, which insulates but, due to its lack of membrane, offers no resistance to airflow and allows maximum breathability in an area which is least exposed to wind. However, it is treated with a water repellent finish, so it will shed light rain or road spray.
The jacket is cut for a close fit, with no fabric flap, so it is aerodynamic and encourages maximum speed and fun, especially as the waist has raw edges and will lie flat and move with you. Other benefits are the off set double zip, which slides well and causes minimal air disruption, a zippered valuables pocket, and three roomy back pockets with reflective touches and laser-cut drain holes.
